Once the profile loads, you get the user's Bitmoji avatar, display name, exact handle, bio, subscriber count, and every story currently active on their account - both regular stories and any pinned highlights. Photo stories load at the resolution Snapchat publishes, video stories play with sound in a clean modal player. If the user has Spotlight clips pinned to their profile, those show up too. Everything you see is exactly what Snapchat is already serving on the public profile URL.

What we will and won't do.
The Snapchat public profile viewer only ever loads accounts that have a public profile turned on. If a username is private - the default for most personal accounts - Snapchat doesn't publish anything about that account on the open web, and SnapStoryView will never try to bypass that. We don't authenticate into Snapchat, we don't run scrapers under a hidden account, and we don't have a back door. We also don't fingerprint your browser, persist your search history, or share any analytics about who looked up which handle.
